CEO'S FIRST TRIP TO THE MOTHERLAND!

CEO'S FIRST TRIP TO THE MOTHERLAND!

A few weeks ago I returned from my trip to Accra, Ghana.  It was my first time traveling to Africa and it was a most welcome journey.  For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to travel to the land of my Ancestors. (Of course this was both business and vacation.)  I stayed about ten days and traveled with a group of talented Sista's from all over the US.  We had a great tour guide and during our stay we toured throughout the Western part of Accra and along the coasts.   We visited several historical sites including...

Happy New Year To My Valued Customers

It's been both an interesting and challenging year but much was accomplished.  The small downtown Oakland bookstore located at Kenyan Safari Designs at 1411 Webster Street closed on December 2nd. I gave it a year and decided to move on.  And now the Multi-Cultural Children's Books Store Holiday Pop Up closed Dec. 29 to reopen mid January.  Both were great opportunities for me to collaborate with other like minded women in business and education.  But Ashay by the Bay is going to continue to focus on core business by providing books and educational materials to Public and Private School Districts...
